Chase Backstage Broadway

JPMorgan Chase Foundation Backstage BroadwayThrough JPMorgan Chase Foundation Backstage Broadway, Miami Valley high school students are given the chance to explore the behind-the-scenes world of professional theatre. Students interested in technical theatre, stage management and other backstage positions get to view the backstage set up of Broadway productions in the Victoria Theatre or the Schuster Center and chat with professionals about careers and what life is like on the road. Teachers are encouraged to contact the Education & Engagement to set up tours for their classes.

In general, Backstage Broadway workshops are offered earlier in the run of a show and are geared  toward high school level classes, not individuals (however, JERSEY BOYS Backstage Broadway is for adults and WICKED Backstage Broadway is for teachers). Younger students must have one chaperone for every 10 students.  Teachers and students, check the website often for Backstage Broadway updates.  Spaces are limited so get your reservations in early.

Complete the Backstage Broadway application below to register.

PLEASE NOTE: Teachers and students participating in Backstage Broadway will be required to complete a survey to maintain eligibility for future Broadway opportunities so Victoria Theatre Association can continue to qualify for grants that help underwrite these programs. Backstage Broadway opportunities take place sometime during the run of the show. Specific dates will be announced closer to each production.
