This page is intended to answer some of the most commonly asked questions about our venues and attending performances. If your question isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to call Ticket Center Stage at (937) 228-3630 or toll free (888) 228-3630.
- Do you allow photographs to be taken?
Due to a variety of reasons--including show contracts, copyright laws and performer safety--no photographs may be taken inside the theatres during a performance. Some shows (generally concerts) do allow photographs to be taken, and this will generally be announced in advance. You may take photos in the lobbies or the Wintergarden anytime. If you have questions about a specific performance, call Ticket Center Stage at (937) 228-3630, or email info@victoriatheatre.com.
- How do I get there?
The Victoria Theatre, Schuster Center and The Loft Theatre are located in heart of downtown Dayton's arts district. The Victoria Theatre is located at the corner of First and Main Streets, The Loft Theatre is located next door to the Victoria Theatre (look for the red awning out front), and the Schuster Center is located at the corner of Second and Main Streets, encompassing the entire block of Second Street between Main Street and Ludlow Street. For specific driving instructions, visit our Directions page.
- How do I pick up my tickets?
You may have already received your tickets in the mail. If you purchased your tickets within a week of the performance, you will be picking up your tickets at the venue box office’s Will Call window.
- Is there somewhere I can have dinner before a show?
Absolutely! Citilites Restaurant & Bar, located in the Wintergarden of the Schuster Center, is open for dinner 2.5 hours before performances in the Schuster Center's Mead Theatre. For information or reservations, call (937) 222-0623. There are many other options within a short distance of the theatres, including Uno Chicago Grill, which is located next door the Victoria Theatre and The Loft Theatre. For a list of other downtown eateries, visit www.downtowndayton.org.
- What about accessibility needs?
If there is a person in a wheelchair in your party, let us know ahead of time so we can be sure to get you to your seat quickly and efficiently. If you drop off that individual at the Second Street pull-up lane, our house management staff can assist them. Hearing enhancement receivers are available in the orchestra lobby. Large print programs are also available – ask a member of house management. If you have other needs, please contact Ticket Center Stage at (937) 228-3630 ahead of time, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
- What about security?
The arts district is one of the safest areas in the entire metropolitan area. In order to further insure the comfort of our patrons, we have off-duty Dayton police officers who work security for us. You’ll spot them on the street corners next to the theatres. If you have a concern or question, don’t hesitate to ask their assistance – or that of one of our house management team. (You can spot them by their walkie-talkies and name badges.)
- What can we do after the show?
Your night doesn’t have to end after the final curtain – there are several downtown options for music and drinks following a performance. Click here for more information.
- What if I arrive late?
No problem. We will get you to your seats as soon as we can without disrupting the performance for the other patrons. Our policy is not to seat anyone in his/her regular seat while the performance is in progress. We will likely seat you at the rear of the section your seat is in until there is an opportunity to move you to your actual seat, probably at intermission.
- What if someone needs to contact me during a performance?
If you require paging services, please check your beeper or cell phone with house management. They will register your seat location and contact you as necessary. Leave the number (937) 228-7591 with anyone who might need to reach you during the performance. Messages will be delivered to you as soon as possible. If you expect you may be called, please let house management know your seat location so we can locate you quickly.
- What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
No dress code - you'll see everything from t-shirts and jeans to suits and dresses... and everything in between!
- Where do I park?
The Arts Garage, on the corner of Second and Ludlow Streets, is secure, clean, affordable and open for daily parkers, all Schuster Center performances and most Victoria Theatre performances, including the Young at Heart Family Series on weekends.
Event Parking: $7 (Series Subscriber Passes Available at (937) 228-3630)
Monthly Parking: Contact Braxton Gilkey at (937) 228-7591, x3604
The Arts Garage is owned and operated by Victoria Theatre Association, so parking there actually helps support the arts venues used by all our great arts organizations. It's easy-in on either Ludlow or Second Streets. There are also 16 security cameras throughout the garage that are monitored by Schuster Center building security 24/7 and attendants on-duty 7 a.m. - 9 p.m., Monday-Friday.
An interactive map showing the additional downtown Dayton parking lots and garages is available online at the Downtown Dayton Partnership's website.
- Will I be able to get a drink? What is served?
Yes, we have performance bars at each venue. We offer Pepsi products and full bar service, including beer, wine and mixed drinks.
