ABOUT THE SHOW:
Photographer, author and regular contributor to National Geographic magazine, SARTORE is an environmentalist and conservationist who champions endangered species and landscapes, documenting a world worth saving. SARTORE’S assignments have taken him to some of the world’s most beautiful and challenging environments, from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and he has photographed everything from the remote Amazon to beer-drinking, mountain-racing firefighters in the United Kingdom. SARTORE and his work are the subjects of several national broadcasts including National Geographic’s “Explorer,” “The NBC Nightly News,” NPR’s “Weekend Edition” and an hour-long PBS documentary, “At Close Range.” He is also a regular contributor on “CBS Sunday Morning” with Charles Osgood. Presented in partnership with Five Rivers MetroParks.
AGE RECOMMENDATION:
Ages 10 and up. For the consideration of all patrons, children on laps and/or babes in arms are not permitted at Victoria Theatre Association National Geographic Live Series presentations.
