About the Mid-Day Arts Café:
The April 8 Mid-Day Arts Café features the Dayton Visual Arts Center (DVAC), one of the region’s leading contemporary gallery spaces and artists’ organizations. Executive Director Eva Buttacavoli will discuss DVAC’s celebration of the vast range of media, style, and level of art-making that exists in the greater Dayton area and the Center’s role in connecting the public to local art and the individuals creating it. Mid-Day Arts Café participants will also play the role of the curator and put together an art show! April’s Mid-Day Arts Café will be held in the Donor Lounges on the 3rd floor of the Schuster Center.
Now in its fourth year, the Mid-Day Arts Café series continues to highlight the professional arts organizations in the Dayton area. One Tuesday a month, a participating arts organization presents an hour-long session in the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center’s Mathile Theatre, providing a little insight into its mission, its productions and events, and maybe even a preview performance. Come prepared with those questions you’ve been wanting to ask! Each Mid-Day Arts Café begins with a box lunch provided by Citilites Restaurant & Bar at 11:30 a.m., and the presentation starts promptly at noon.
Ticket Center Stage is the only outlet authorized to sell tickets for events at the Schuster Center and Victoria Theatre.
