About the Mid-Day Arts Café:
January’s  Mid-Day Arts Café  features FilmDayton, an organization that offers great information about the growth of the film industry statewide and in our region. You’ll hear from Megan Cooper, Executive Director of FilmDayton, about what FilmDayton is doing to encourage film making. Plus, you’ll get behind the scenes information about the original web series “Freak Club” from co-creator Alexandra Grizinski, hear some exciting news from Patrick Steele, director of the psychological thriller True Nature (filmed in Dayton 2010) and get an insider’s look at We’re Doing Fine (a feature film set to shoot here in Dayton this spring).

Beginning its third year, the Mid-Day Arts Café series continues to highlight the professional arts organizations in the Dayton area. One Tuesday a month, a participating arts organization presents an hour-long session in the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center’s Mathile Theatre, providing a little insight into its mission, its productions and events, and maybe even a preview performance. Come prepared with those questions you’ve been wanting to ask! Each Mid-Day Arts Café begins with a box lunch provided by Citilites Restaurant & Bar at 11:30 a.m., and the presentation starts promptly at noon.

Ticket Center Stage is the only outlet authorized to sell tickets for events at the Schuster Center and Victoria Theatre.
