About the Mid-Day Arts Café:
The May 20 Mid-Day Arts Café features The Human Race Theatre Company, the Dayton region’s professional regional theatre company. Producing Artistic Director Kevin Moore, book writer Brian Yorkey (Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner for Next To Normal and currently represented on Broadway with If/Then starring Idina Menzel), and composer David Spangler (composer of the musical Nefertiti and Founding Artistic Director of Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts) will join members of the Play It By Heart cast for an insider’s look at the regional premiere of the original country musical opening at The Loft Theatre in June.
Now in its fourth year, the Mid-Day Arts Café series continues to highlight the professional arts organizations in the Dayton area. One Tuesday a month, a participating arts organization presents an hour-long session in the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center’s Mathile Theatre, providing a little insight into its mission, its productions and events, and maybe even a preview performance. Come prepared with those questions you’ve been wanting to ask! Each Mid-Day Arts Café begins with a box lunch provided by Citilites Restaurant & Bar at 11:30 a.m., and the presentation starts promptly at noon.
Ticket Center Stage is the only outlet authorized to sell tickets for events at the Schuster Center and Victoria Theatre.
