About the Mid-Day Arts Café:
December’s Mid-Day Arts Café features Muse Machine. Mary Carr, executive director of Muse Machine, will discuss their upcoming production of Seussical The Musical and members of the cast, ranging from 11 to 18 years old, will perform songs and dances from the show. Muse Machine is a nationally recognized arts education organization annually serving 70,000 students and their teachers in 10 counties in southwestern Ohio. Since its inception in 1982, Muse Machine has produced 25 annual musicals and 13 summer concerts, and engaged thousands of students through arts-integrated classroom instruction, interactive workshops and professional development for teachers.
Now in its fourth year, the Mid-Day Arts Café series continues to highlight the professional arts organizations in the Dayton area. One Tuesday a month, a participating arts organization presents an hour-long session in the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center’s Mathile Theatre, providing a little insight into its mission, its productions and events, and maybe even a preview performance. Come prepared with those questions you’ve been wanting to ask! Each Mid-Day Arts Café begins with a box lunch provided by Citilites Restaurant & Bar at 11:30 a.m., and the presentation starts promptly at noon.
Ticket Center Stage is the only outlet authorized to sell tickets for events at the Schuster Center and Victoria Theatre.
