Cool Films Series

Cool Films SeriesSince the 1940s, the Victoria Theatre has been a movie theatre for generations of Daytonians, spending its early years as a first-run Warner Brothers and then a Disney cinema. We keep that tradition alive in the 21st century with our Cool Films Series each summer, where once again the Victoria transforms into a movie palace fit for royalty.

Martin Bevis, longtime organist for the Victoria Theatre, died peacefully at his Maysville, KY home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 due to complications from stroke & ill health. He was 83. Martin was a fixture at the Cool Films Series and the Family Series for more than 20 years & had a legion of fans from all over southwest Ohio. In a 2011 Dayton City Paper article, he estimated he knew about 10,000 songs by heart. We will all miss him greatly.
